Chaffee County Comprehensive Plan

In March 2000, the Board of Commissioners and Planning Commission completed adoption of a new Comprehensive Plan for Chaffee County, which included a significant amount of input from the citizens of the County on what the desired future direction of the County would be.  Some of the Plan components included updating land use regulations to reflect the changing economy and values of the County, focusing residential and commercial growth around the municipalities of Salida, Buena Vista and Poncha Springs, and adoption of regulations to protect the County's water and other resources.
