Administrative Assistant/Paralegal
Under minimal work direction this position performs a variety of complex administrative
duties in support of attorney
functions, including: track projects and assignments within the
office, process invoices and prepare financial reports for reporting to County

Youth Program Coordinator
The position of Youth Program Coordinator requires an individual
that is well-versed in connecting with youth and passionate about elevating
youth voice in the community. This position requires the use of skills derived
from the Positive Youth Development (PYD) framework and focuses on addressing
risk factors and promoting protective factors within our youth population. The
work this position will be involved in is rooted in prevention programming such
as Botvin Lifeskills Training (LST) as well as Toward No Drug Abuse (TND). This
worker will also be a leading part of outreach efforts centered on youth
challenged by housing instability. This position will require the consistent
use of creative thinking while utilizing programs such as Rural Collaborative to
support youth toward stability. A portion of this position will involve case
management regarding resources youth are enrolled in and receiving to ensure
that goals are being set and achieved. The Program Coordinator must be
collaborative not only with youth but also with partners in the community,
particularly school districts, where LST is implemented. This position is responsible
for the youth council and coaching youth advisors. This position will also be
charged with the development and management of Voice Council. The position is responsible
for recruitment and retention of clients with lived experience who will serve
on the council to promote improvement in our local health and human services
system. Lastly, this position necessitates an individual that has strong
communication skills and the ability to manage multiple points of view while

Youth In Action High School Leader
The YIA High School Leader will support implementation of YIA lesson plans, development of positive relationships among program participants, and general functions of the program. As experts with lived experience in the program, they ensure that the middle school and preschool student experiences are the central focus of the program. The high school leader will remain in close contact with the YIA Staff throughout the implementation of the program and aid in everyday functions. The position is part-time ranging from 2-5 hours per week, throughout the school year (typically August-May). This is a part time, non exempt position with an hourly wage of $16.50 to $21.00, DOQ. Youth Advisor
This part-time position will work in partnership with Chaffee County Youth Alliance (CCYA) and Family and Youth Initiatives staff, Extraordinary Teen Council based in Salida, and 5th Quarter in Buena Vista, local youth-serving organizations, and the community. The focus of the work includes, but is not limited to, providing youth perspective and recommendations to CCYA and community partners on coalition and community practices, policies, programs, and processes in accordance with Positive Youth Development (PYD) principles. We believe that young people have the ultimate expertise in the lives of youth and youth culture. Including a young adult on our team and integrating their expertise into our operations will improve the programs and policies that affect the lives of Chaffee County youth. Department of Human Services Childcare Provider
This part time, approximately 5 hours per week position requires a creative, compassionate,
personable, motivated, and organized individual capable of assisting in a
variety of program activities. Desirable skills include an ability to work with
parents and care for young children, awareness of child development and
developmentally appropriate activities, effective verbal and written
communication skills, and ability to work with diverse populations. This
position will connect with youth and families, and internal staff. Reports to
FYI Supervisor, or the on-duty Supervisor of the program the position is

This part time, approximately 5 hours per week position requires a compassionate, personable,

prevention programs to support families in Chaffee County. Desirable skills
include experience in providing support to parents
and families with challenges they are addressing, co-teach classes to these parents
and/or children and teens utilizing an evidence-based curriculum,
supervise and engage with children ages 1-18 years of age, to create a friendly
and safe environment and to communicate

The EMT BIV administers basic life support care to sick and injured persons in a pre-hospital setting under direction of an Emergency Department Physician consistent with state and local protocols. Also performs continuation of care and observation during inter-facility patient transfers per direction of the transferring physician. Current EMT license, CPR certification and a completion certificate for an IV course is required. Must have valid Colorado driver license with acceptable motor vehicle record. DHS Social Caseworker Generalist
The Social Caseworker Generalist provides intake and/or ongoing

DHS Core Services Worker/Case Aide
Duties of this position include
supervise visits, life skills and in-home preservation work, interacting with
families and providing community-based service referrals. This position works
one on one with clients to meet their goals on a treatment plan. Position provides services to
new intake and/or ongoing core services families for a variety of program
areas such as child abuse and neglect cases, youth in conflict
cases. The Core Services position provides administrative
support for the child welfare, and foster care programs. It will also be back
up for referral screening, assisting with recording case documentation,
coordinating department meetings and overall support for the department. This full time position has an hourly wage range of $27.79 to $34.74, DOE. Road Department Operator I
Chaffee County BOCC and the Road Department are accepting applications for 2 full-time Operator I positions. This position is responsible for building and maintaining County roads and bridges. Minimum requirements include High School diploma or equivalent, valid CO CDL, Class B license and 3 years' experience driving truck with opportunity to advance to Operator II. Work schedule is 4 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday with possible overtime. Detentions Deputy
Chaffee County Sheriff's office is hiring for a full-time Detentions Deputy. Must be at least 18 years old. This position requires varying shifts and ability to work weekends and some holidays.
