The City of Salida and The County have been jointly operating and maintaining Harriet Alexander Field (The Airport) in one form or another since 1969. In 2001, the City and County executed an Intergovernmental Agreement for the operation and management of the Airport providing for the creation, establishment that sets the Airport's policies and procedures and make-up of the Salida/Chaffee County Airport Board ("Airport Board"). The Airport Board consists of 9 members, five members to be appointed by the County and 4 members to be appointed by the City. There is also one liaison from the City and the County. Each member serves a three year term and may be reappointed to serve on the Board without limitation. Board Opportunities are shared as Public Notices
The Airport Board traditionally meets the 4th Wednesday of each
month at 9am, except as noted below
