Board of Adjustment

 The Board of Adjustment oversees zoning interpretations and can authorize zoning variances.  it consists of three members and provides for the appointment of up to two "Associate Members" to serve in the event that "any regular member is temporarily unable to act owing to absence from the County, illness, or interest in a case before the Board or any other cause" Members of the Board of Adjustment must have permanently and continuously reside in the County for one year preceding the date of their appointment and shall hold no other elected office of Chaffee County.  The Board of Adjustment will only meet when an application is submitted and a hearing has been scheduled.
