Chaffee Common Ground Advisory Committee

This Board was established on February 5, 2019, (Resolution 2019-11). The Chaffee Common Ground Advisory Committee (CAC) consists of seven members who are full-time residents in Chaffee County.  At least one member shall be chosen from each of the Commissioner Districts with the remaining four members "at large". At least one member shall have significant experience, background, and/or education in silviculture and/or forest management.  At least one member shall be actively involved in agriculture.  At least one member hall have significant experience in outdoor recreation and/or conservation.  Members shall be selected and approved by the Board of Commissioners, based on diverse and relevant background/skill sets. Members should not be paid staff of an organization applying for funding with the County although the CAC may appoint Subject Matter Experts from applicable agencies.  The County Finance Officer, The County Administrator and the County Attorney shall serve as advisors to the Board.  County-wide community engagement programs, such as Envision Chaffee County (which is a planning partnership between Chaffee County and Central Colorado Conservancy), may also add context to help inform the use of funds.
