Know Your Rights

Colorado and federal laws and accommodations (512 KB) are in place to protect breastfeeding mothers.

Breastfeeding and Jury Duty

Breastfeeding Friendly Employer

Breastfeeding is good for Business

Chaffee County Public Health can assist businesses with practical support for breastfeeding employees.

While there is a Colorado Law mandating that businesses provide women with the time, space and support to express milk, work is a big obstacle to breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding Coalition

The Chaffee County Breastfeeding Coalition’s mission is to protect, promote and support breast milk feeding. We advocate, collaborate and offer high quality education and resources, while always striving for inclusivity.

Volunteering for the Coalition

There are always opportunities within the coalition. Chaffee County Breastfeeding Coalition (CCBC) welcomes ideas and new projects when there is an interest from a volunteer.
